Before reaching out to the Support Desk for help with wireless issues, there are a few steps you can take that may resolve the issue.
- Turn wireless off and then on, test connectivity, and if issues persist move on to #2.
- Restart your computer, test connectivity, and if issues persist move on to #3.
- Open a support ticket with OIT and provide the collected data about the connection.
Turn Wireless off and on:
Windows 10

macOS
In the menu bar on the top right corner of your screen click the wireless icon. In the drop down menu toggle the Wi-Fi button off, wait 3 seconds, toggle it on.

Restart the computer:
Window 10
Click the Windows menu in the bottom left corner of the screen. Select Power and click Restart.

macOS
In the menu bar on the top left corner of the screen click the Apple icon. In the drop down menu click Restart…

Collect data for your support ticket:
Windows 10
In the Windows search bar on the bottom left of the screen type cmd and hit enter. In the Command Prompt window type ipconfig /all and hit enter. Copy and paste or screenshot this information for your ticket.
MacOS
In a Finder window browse to Applications->Utilities and open the Terminal application. In the Terminal window type ifconfig -a and hit enter. Copy and paste or screenshot this information for your ticket.
