Adding another device to Duo MFA

OIT recommends having a backup MFA device configured in the event your primary device is disabled or unavailable. Your office or home phone are good choices. To complete this process you will need to have your currenlty configured MFA device and the one you want to enroll available.

VALID UNTIL JULY 27, 2023

  1. If you are already logged in open a browser in private or incognito mode, if not skip this step.
  2. Browse to https://my.csustan.edu
  3. Login with your WarriorID and password, but do not authenticated with your second factor yet.
  4. On the Duo MFA login screen look for the "Add a new device" link on the left.Duo MFA add a new device link location
  5. You will be prompted to complete MFA via a currently configured device.
  6. Complete the enrollment process for your new device.

  4. On the Duo MFA login screen look for the "Other options" link at the bottom and click it.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the device list and select "Manage devices" at the bottom of the list.
  6. You will be prompted to complete MFA via a currently configured device.
  7. Complete the enrollment process for your new device.

When you login next there will be a drop down list in the Device: section of the Duo MFA prompt. Use this to select your other device when necessary.
