Remove/Uninstall Microsoft Office Mac

There is no Microsoft app to uninstall Office

If you are experiencing catastrophic failures with Office 365 or earlier, you may need to remove Office from your Mac and reinstall. This may happen if you perform an app restore from a Time Machine Backup as opposed to just a file and profile restore. Unfortunately, there is no easy one-step way to remove Microsoft Office from a Macintosh computer. You'll have to go digging into various folders to delete the associated files.

Solution

Please follow these instructions from Microsoft to perform the removal/uninstall. There may be third party apps available that could remove Microsoft Office and other apps from you Macintosh computer, but you will have to use those at your own risk since they may not be supported by Microsoft, Apple, or OIT.
