All versions of Windows earlier than the 2023 update for Windows 11 are considered end of support by Microsoft as of October 14th, 2025.
All versions of MacOS earlier than Sonoma are considered end of support by Apple as of September 15th, 2025.
As a result, these devices are no longer receiving security updates and therefore are not compliant with CSU standards.

Due to Microsoft's new hardware requirements for Windows 11, many University computers do not officially support running Windows 11 and need to be replaced in order to be compliant.
Apple devices have always operated on a 5-7 year support window for hardware.

If a new computer has been ordered for you, or you are in the process of transitioning to your new device, you may submit a temporary extension request for your current workstation to be enabled until December 12th at the latest.

Devices will not be extended past the 12th of December.
